Special Education

Special Education

Special education is a field of education that is designed to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities or special needs.

Special education is a branch of education that aims to provide equal educational opportunities to students with disabilities or special needs. Special education teachers work with students of all ages, from preschool to adulthood, to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that are tailored to each student's unique needs, strengths, and challenges. These plans may include accommodations, modifications, specialized instruction, and related services, such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, or counseling. The goal of special education is to help students with disabilities access the same educational opportunities as their peers, achieve academic and personal success, and develop skills to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
